Scarsdale, NY, native Hal Shapiro received his bachelor's degree in business from the University of Miami in Florida. Since returning to Scarsdale, he has managed to build a successful career in the real estate sector. He currently serves as the managing director of Winick Realty Group, LLC, a NY-based retail real estate leasing company. Hal Shapiro is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
ICSC is an organization that aims to represent the professionals in the global retail real estate industry. With a membership of over 70,000 individuals from more than 100 countries, the organization is at the forefront of advancing the shopping center industry.
Education is one of ICSC's main thrusts. The organization hosts a yearly line-up of learning events for its members who want to deepen their understanding of the industry. One upcoming ICSC educational event is a seminar on Finance & Accounting specially designed for non-finance executives.
